Hometown: Honolulu, Hawaii
College: Santa Clara University – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering; Master’s degree in RF Microwave and Communication
About Me: Aloha! I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii before moving to the “mainland” to attend Santa Clara University. Having always been geared towards science and technology, I naturally gravitated towards a technical engineering field. I began my collegiate years as an Electrical Engineering major before discovering an interest in programming, leading to my second major in Computer Science and Engineering. Upon completing my undergraduate degree, I decided to further pursue my studies and obtained a Master’s degree in RF Microwave and Communication while also taking graduate Computer Engineering courses on the side. After years of schooling and internships at Rosendin Electric and SPAWAR, I realized that although my technical skills were up to par, it was my social skills and communication ability that really set me apart and sparked my passion. I wanted to pursue a career that could help drive both my technical and social aspirations. Cue the Cisco CSAP program. Through this program I have learned and developed more skills and knowledge than I ever thought possible, met some of the greatest people I will ever meet and found a fulfilling career that keeps me motivated and driven. This program has surpassed all of my expectations and I am excited to see where my Cisco journey takes me.
